Creating a Firm Foundation For At-Risk Youth
Kefa Academy - Athletes Needing SponsorshipAcademy Athletes are some of the most vulnerable athletes in the Kefa Project. They live at Kefa Academy where they are cared for by staff and have food, shelter, training, medical, clothing, and education provided. Every sponsor receives hand-written letters, pictures, and more from their athlete. To learn more about our different sponsorship levels click here.
David seems very serious at first, but once he gets to know you, you get to see that beautiful smile. He's one of our most talented dancers in the academy and has one of the softest spirits.
Jean Baptiste is very intelligent. He's always quick to practice the English he learns with visitors. He is the first to jump in and try anything new whether its origami, salsa dancing, or a new english song.
Jaques likes to sit back and observe at first. He has really grown at the academy. He is one of the first to forgive when someone wrongs him.
Etienne is a goal keeper on the field and off the field can often be found creating many types of creative competitions for himself and his teammates. After winning, or losing, he will declare 'I AM THE CHAMPION.'
Emile was a leader and protector on the streets. It has been so fun to see him get to become a kid again at the academy and to joke and laugh. He loves school and does quite well at it.
